Learn about principles of electricity and light, and put them to use by crafting art projects with circuits and LEDs.

We'll cover the fundamentals of electronics theory such as resistance, capacitance, current, and voltage, and also talk about the electromagnetic spectrum and how it relates to the perception of color. You'll get to apply these principles in creative ways by making your own light-up papercraft as well as your own LED array with a breadboard and integrated circuit (IC)!

For this workshop, we will be providing physical electronic parts that we will ask you to come pick up at a location in the San Francisco Bay Area. The registration fee covers the cost of these parts, and information regarding picking them up will be sent to all registered attendees at a later date. Because we need time to order and package the parts, you must register by July 24th to participate in this workshop.

No prior experience with the topic is required!
